Since its inception in 1986, Abode Doorway to Life CLG has been dedicated to
providing comprehensive services, supports, and facilities for adults aged 18-65 who experience physical and/or sensory disabilities. Abode represents more than just an organisation; it embodies a way of life where individuals, according to their abilities, contribute to the collective wellbeing of one another.
Recognising that every person with a disability has unique needs, Abode has continually evolved to establish tailored services that address these needs. Our commitment to adaptability allows us to meet the evolving challenges that may arise.
At Abode, we offer Long Term Accommodation designed for adults with physical and sensory disabilities, along with various other support requirements. Our accommodation creates an environment where individuals can live, learn and work together in dynamic and mutually beneficial relationships. Within our service, residents enjoy the comfort of their own private bedrooms while sharing common facilities within the centre. Additionally, on-site support care services are regularly provided by Abode including Day Services and Independent Living Training. For those who seek more independent living, we also provide ‘own door’ living units, catering to tenants who can live independently.
